Peugeot Mills - Leader of the Pack
Salamander Cookshop recently featured their Peugeot Mills in the March Issue of Country Homes and Interiors.
We thought we would give you a quick overview on why we like them so much!
Peugeot has been making pepper mills and coffee mills since the 19th Century. And for those of you who were wondering - yes it is the same brand that makes the cars!
The Peugeot family (namely the two brothers) used their family mills to produce steel related products like tools, steel blades, knives and of course mills. The Peugeot brothers did not start making cars until the end of the 19th Century.
Today, Peugeot Mills are renowned for being the best pepper mills in the world. The brand symbol of the Lion symbolises the qualities of Peugeot utensils: the strength of the teeth, the flexibility of the blades and the cutting speed. Although the Peugeot mill designs have changed and improved over the years, the mill has retained its classic qualities.
Peugeot believe in the quality of their products so much that every pepper mill comes with a lifetime guarantee.
So throw out your old pepper mills and get yourself a lifetime with a lion!

The Twittering Kettle
Here at Salamander Cookshop you know we love cookware – all shapes, colours and sizes! But we also love modern technology and social networks like Twitter.
This is why we want to introduce you to the Twettle. A revolutionary new concept where the traditional whistling kettle meets Twitter!
Designed by a couple of guys called Ben Perman and Murat Multu – the unique wireless enabled kettle interacts with social media and sends out a tweet when it is boiling!
How? Wireless hardware is embedded into the base of the kettle which can connect to a wireless Internet connection.
Sadly the budding entrepreneurs behind the design are still seeking funding to take it to mass market so you won’t see it in the Salamander Cookshop range quite yet.
However, until then, we have recently added a new whistling kettle.
The Wesco Classic Whistling Kettle in silver is the ultimate must have for a retro styled kitchen. Its functionalities are far from aged though – with a stay cool silicone handle you won’t get burnt making a cuppa!
At £37.00 you would be crazy to say no.
