Description

As featured in the Saturday Daily Telegraph.

The word "tagine" is used to describe both the dish and the pot it's cooked in. A tagine pot is traditionally made from glazed clay and has a lid like a pointed hat which allows the steam to circulate within, making the food more flavourful and succulent. The new Flame range from Emile Henry lends itself perfectly to this style of Moroccan cooking. Made from a ground-breaking new mix of clay it can be used on a gas, electric or halogen hob without any fear of cracking or breaking. You sear the meat in the base pan, add the other ingredients, then put on the lid and finish the dish either on the hob or in the oven. When it's ready, take it straight to the table - it's so good looking you'll want to show it off to your family and guests. It has excellent heat retaining properties as well.

Added to all that, it's very easy to clean, is dishwasher safe and amazingly light. Incredibly, it can withstand the thermal shock of being moved straight from the freezer into a hot oven and can also be used in the microwave.

The tagine is 21cm high.
